Olivia Pellis, a 93-year-old visual anthropologist from Gorizia, is preparing materials for the creation of an archival collection in her name, which includes around 100 hours of film footage and 40,000 photographs documenting the traditions of Upper Friuli. She realizes, however, that one of her most precious films—made to recount the reconstruction of several Friulian towns after the earthquake of May 6, 1976—has been lost. The documentary is a journey into memory, searching for the lost film by tracing it through archives, film libraries, personal recollections, and local TV stations.
