Symposium
Between May 6th and 8th, the Palazzo del cinema in Gorizia will host the third edition of the East / West Border Through Film and History, which explores the audiovisual heritage along the Slovenian-Italian border through moving images. This year we will focus on the importance of local film cultures and cross-border film practices, as well as the role of television in the wider cross-border space.
Among the guest lecturers will be Andrej Šprah, Mojca Petrič Bužan, Naško Križnar, Bojan Brezigar, Borut Klabjan, Stojan Pelko, Lucio Fabi, Steven Stergar, Piero Pieri, Piero Colussi, Paolo Lughi, Marco Rossitti, Nicoletta Romeo, Daniele Terzioli, Sergio Grmek Germani and a host of others.
The program is intended for a wider interested public, researchers, students and teachers and professors. Lectures will be held in Slovenian and Italian, simultaneous translation will be provided. Admission to all symposium lectures is free, advance notice is preferred.
Everyone who is interested in film culture and its importance in the local and cross-border area is welcome.
